Sinus irrigation has been practiced for 1000's of years. The Neti Pot (Neti is Sanskrit for nasal cleansing) and is a basic tool of Ayurvedic hygiene and is used to rinse & clean the nose and sinuses with a saline solution. Colors: blue, white.

How to use

Fill Neti Pot with warm, slightly salted water (¼ teaspoon of fine non-ionized salt). Use only distilled or sterile water. Tap water may . Lean over the sink, tilt head sideways and insert the Neti Pot’s spout into the upper nostril and begin pouring about ½ of the saline solution. The solution will flow through and stream out of the lower nostril. Breathe through your mouth. Repeat by changing nostrils.

It might take a couple of tries before perfecting the art of “jala neti”. Be patient, it will be well worth it.

Care & Maintenance

Wash your Neti pot thoroughly after each use. Use distilled water. If not available sterilize tap water by boiling for 5 minutes. Allow to cool before using. Do not share Neti Pot with others.

Caution

Do not use the Neti Pot if:

  • Nostrils or sinuses are inflamed
  • User suffers from nose bleeds
  • Experience pain or soreness
